This beautiful vintage Mid-Century Scandinavian art glass vase was crafted by the renowned Swedish glassmaker Strömbergshyttan, also spelled Strombergshyttan, and is signed on the base. Known for exceptional clarity, substantial weight, and a subtle icy silver-blue tint, Strömbergshyttan crystal remains highly sought after by collectors of fine Scandinavian glass.
Designed by Asta Strömberg, this vase is Model B 924. The “B” stands for Blomglas, the Swedish word for flower vase. It features the delicate C 1113 copper-wheel engraved Lily of the Valley, or snowdrops, floral pattern and dates to approximately the 1950s–1960s.
The vase measures approximately 5" tall, 3.25" wide, and 2" deep at its widest point. It weighs approximately 1 lb, 5 oz, giving it the substantial feel that is a hallmark of Strömbergshyttan luxury lead crystal.
Condition: The vase has one flea bite on the front center of the upper rim, as shown in the photos. Signed on the base. Please review all photos carefully, as they are considered part of the description.
